May 23, 2007 I no doubt deserved my enemies, but I don't believe I deserved my friends.

Cleveland is mourning a loss that it might not even know about. My lovely friend, Erin, has moved on to a better place. No, not heaven. Chicago. A little like heaven for her, I'm sure. If you believe in that sort of thing.
She has had a whirlwind few weeks, to be sure. She graduated from CSU with her master's in Urban Planning. She has a new job in a new city (Sears Tower will be her new work address). And her exceedingly wonderful boyfriend is now her exceedingly wonderful fiance. My my.
Although I know that she will always be my friend and I am partial to day trips to Chicago, I am sad to see her go. I think that Cleveland needs really brilliant, hip, educated people ... especially in her area of expertise.
So how do we keep them here?

aw, erin and her man are such a cute couple - congrats!
since i often consider a move for better opportunities myself, i don't know what needs to be done - don't really know the market all that well and have near given up on trying to find an opening in my field here.
You moved things around. I feel dizzy.
Good luck to your friend.
I have nothing constructive to add.
Hey, who's that hottie on the right?
;)
Some dork.
Oh man! I feel like such a jerk for missing her grad party Sat night. I ran into Erin and Hank the previous week at Southside and they told me about it. Frakk! Awesome that he (finally) proposed. Please send her my sincere congratulations!
I like what Mike Peters sand in the Alarm circa 1983, "If there was more sense in this world, and work wasn't so hard to find, you would not be goin' your way, I would not be goin' mine." -Spirit of '76
Best of luck to your friend. Moving somewhere new can be a miracle, it was for me.
